I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania (and all 40+ PSYPACT participating states). The current list of PSYPACT participating states can be found here: https://psypact.site-ym.com/page/psypactmap I obtained my doctoral degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where I received intensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy. While the foundation of my work is in the structure and skill-building of CBT, I individually tailor the structure of therapy to your needs and the challenges of your daily life. I work with adults and teenagers with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship challenges, and eating disorders. I specialize in therapy for eating disorders and balance CBT for eating disorders with practices of intuitive eating and Health at Every Size (HAES). If you have a difficult relationship with food or exercise, you are not alone in this journey. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with both support and skills. It is not easy to make changes to the way you cope or how you show up in relationships! If you want to understand where or why you are getting stuck, please reach out for support, and know that recovery is always possible!
I am full of energy, observant, assertive, self-discipline, and compassionate. I am Afro-Latina and a first-generation immigrant, bilingual (Spanish). During my intense training in working with the minority community, I have grown to become a more authentic human being. This has led me to continue to foster cultural humility when engaging with others, as we become a more diverse country enriched by an influx of multiculturalism. In sessions, you can expect a burst of energy. We will translate that energy into a collaborative “work in progress.” We will go at the pace that is most convenient for you. I will join you and go inside those scary places, while you overcome the fear of the unknown. I will help you challenge your own belief systems and construct a new reality that works for you. You will discover deeper and more vulnerable emotions and learn to recognize the things that keep you stuck. You will discover well-rounded results that continuously allow you to develop a sense of self. I’m happy to guide you through all of life’s challenges with the attention and care you deserve.

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field a little over 10 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to seek counseling and I appreciate the courage my clients display by doing so. I hope to support and provide encouragement as we begin this process together. I believe that every individual has the ability to overcome struggles and learn how to highlight their strengths that they may not even be aware they have! I look forward to working with you! As a mental health practice, we assist members by providing therapy to a wide array of people who are in pursuit of happiness. Our team is comprised of exceptional clinicians with a variety of specialties to ensure we give you the best support possible. From our founder: I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and meaningful to me. At 23, I faced an unimaginable loss when I lost my mother to alcohol addiction. It was a painful journey that led me to struggle with my own mental health for nearly a decade. During that time, I often searched for a purpose and a way to turn my pain into something positive. Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve opened this mental health practice. We are building a team of incredible clinicians, each of whom shares a commitment to help others navigate difficult times and find hope and healing. Our goal is to create a safe space where people can feel understood, supported, and empowered on their journey to wellness. We’re here to save lives and help individuals reclaim their strength. I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in New York and Pennsylvania. I have a dual degree in Social Work and Music and use my knowledge of art and human behavior to shape my practice. I have a holistic, laid-back, and compassionate approach to building relationships. I use talk therapy in combination with mindfulness, body awareness, and creative expression to understand where you are coming from. I hope to foster a non-judgmental space for you to process and understand your inner thoughts and feelings. I believe in collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based approaches to understanding the needs of each individual. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults who are interested in growing their own knowledge and tools to balance life’s stressors. I work best with individuals who are willing to employ insight to enhance their daily lives and achieve their goals. It’s never too late.
I'm a trauma therapist offering online therapy to college students throughout Pennsylvania. My specialty is IFS-informed EMDR: EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they lose their grip on the present, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) brings compassion to the parts of you that learned to protect you in hard times. Together, they let us work through trauma at a pace that feels safe — without having to retell your story over and over. Many of the students I work with are carrying more than a heavy course load: childhood wounds, anxiety that won't switch off, depression, ADHD, or the pressure of holding it all together far from home. Therapy with me is a place where all of that can be looked at without judgment. I believe we can let go of our past and accept ourselves as we are — and that self-acceptance is the first step toward change. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified in EMDR (EMDRIA) and trained in IFS (IFS Institute) and DBT, with a master's in Counseling Psychology from Temple University and eight years of practice. Sessions are $185 with sliding-scale spots available, and I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. I offer a free 20-minute consultation — reach out and let's see if we're a good fit.
What does therapy mean to you? What makes it so beneficial? How many thoughts, feelings, expectations, questions are you noticing as you take the first step in finding the “right” therapist? You are not alone. Therapy is a collaborative relationship in which I cultivate an open and non-judgmental atmosphere to equip you in facilitating change, fostering vulnerability, and promoting a rich and meaningful life. Whether you want to work towards specific life goals, change, or stressors including complex trauma, cultural issues, anxiety/depression, I strive to guide you through the process. Let's tackle the "what will people say." My goal is to help you become the best version of you through managing your emotions and living a values driven life. I am a South Asian Licensed Professional Counselor, Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional who practices a holistic, strengths-based, and integrative approach. I utilize different treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic/Mindfulness approaches, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) while individualizing interventions based on identity and cultural backgrounds. Contact me for a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit.
When we are facing life stressors, we often focus on addressing the immediate symptoms. This can be very adaptive. However, if we only ever focus on the immediate symptoms of our struggles, then we may never recognize or have the possibility of healing the cause of our pain. I believe that therapy provides a powerful space to explore, understand, and ultimately heal the root causes of our struggles. I approach my work with insight from a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Narrative Therapy, IFS, Solution Focused Therapy, & Attachment Theory. I am also formally trained in EMDR which I can incorporate into therapy. I approach therapy with an anti-oppressive lens to assist clients dealing with the impacts of homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, and misogyny and am versed in supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, and chronic pain. I come to my work not merely as an outsider with expertise, but as a neurodivergent and transgender individual myself who has lived experience navigating many of the issues I work to help others heal from. It has been my privilege to help a wide variety of clients, and I look forward to learning how I can help you too!

I want you to know this therapy will acknowledge the very real challenges you face that are NOT just in your head. If you've been left out, excluded, and the people around you don't understand, you have every right to be angry, hurt and lonely. Do the people in your life expect you to conform or “fix your problem” and make you feel like a burden for having needs? Have you started to believe the negative messages; started believe you're lazy, not good enough or a burden? I offer support for folks who are going through it. You deserve full access to therapy, please don't hesitate to let me know how I can best support. For example: lying down during session to ease fatigue, video forms instead of words on paper. If you're not sure what you need, we can explore this together and find out what works best for you. You can email me at Schedule@BodyMindAllianceCC.com or you can reach me by phone at 215-259-8016. Note: Your gender identity, pronouns and sexual/affectional orientation will be respected and honored without making therapy “all about your identity” unless that is what you want or need. Hi there, I've been working with individuals with different stress in life as a counselor since I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. I have been seeing students who are struggling with academic stress, graduation anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, acculturation, identity issues, and some mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, etc.
The desire to know and to be known is a normal human experience. I value the trauma-informed safety and client-centered connection we collaboratively create through a systematic lens. I am particularly sensitive to diversity in culture and self-identity, including with respect to race, gender and sexuality. I believe the importance of affirming the unique individual experience with cultural humility. Through compassion, sensitivity, and empowerment, we will work together respectfully to acknowledge vulnerability, unearth patterns, attend complexity, and gain ownership change to achieve the most authentic and expansive self. I have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, life transition challenges, self-esteem, relationship issues including intimate partner violence, and immigration matter. I approach this work holistically with warmth, empathy, and ever developing curiosity. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first step towards change. It takes intentions to create the time and space to understand and explore ways to navigate the situation we are in. If you would like to explore what that looks like, I am here to support and empower you.
