I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York, Arizona, and Colorado with seven years of experience. I work with people who are feeling stressed, anxious, stuck, or just not quite themselves. Whether you’re navigating big life changes, relationship challenges, or figuring out what you want next, therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and start feeling more grounded. My approach is collaborative. I use tools from CBT and EMDR, but mostly I focus on really getting to know you, your story, your experiences, and what actually helps you feel better. I also take into account how culture, identity, and environment shape what we go through. My goal is to create a space where you can be open, explore what’s working (and what’s not), and feel supported in making meaningful change. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure where to start, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a feel for my style and see if we’d be a good fit.

Hi, I'm Dr. Franks! When I see students, I conduct an initial session where I provide a diagnosis (if present) and can recommend and provide medications and/or therapy for treatment. I enjoy working with students because their task to start living on their own and develop their own identity is uniquely challenging and exciting. I can help with the diagnosis and treatment of things like depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, etc. Symptoms that my patients commonly struggle with include worry, sadness, suicidal thinking, stress, insomnia, and trouble concentrating. I am passionate about working with motivated students to help them thrive during their time in college. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Denver, earning degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and French. I completed my medical and residency training at the University of Colorado, where I had the privilege of serving as Chief Resident. I have since worked in private practice.
