Hi, I’m Ashley! I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by life’s challenges to find clarity, balance, and a renewed sense of control. Many of my clients come to me while dealing with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, or stress. Together, we work toward healing and building a life that feels more grounded and fulfilling. My style is down-to-earth and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, human conversation - one rooted in trust, curiosity, and compassion. You don’t have to have everything figured out; my role is to help you explore what’s happening beneath the surface, uncover your strengths, and support your growth every step of the way. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll build skills to challenge unhelpful thoughts, regulate emotions, and cultivate greater self-awareness. We’ll also explore your personal narrative and work toward creating a healing shift in perspective. Above all, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs, pace, and goals. Life can be messy and uncertain, but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you’re hoping to manage stress more effectively, heal from past pain, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’d be honored to support you on this journey. After our time together, you will feel confident, empowered, and more centered in yourself. You will be able to navigate unexpected barriers with greater clarity and resilience, and hopefully experience a deeper sense of peace in your worldview. When you’re ready, let’s take that next step together.
College can be a fun and exciting chapter of life, but when something goes wrong, it can quickly feel out of control and overwhelming. Many students I work with are high achievers who appear to have it all together, yet privately struggle with anxiety, ADHD, self-doubt, loneliness, or the pressure to constantly perform and succeed, especially leading up to graduation as they prepare for the next chapter. When we live with constant pressures and a lack of self-compassion, we may begin feeling exhausted, disconnected, and unsure of ourselves. As a health psychologist, I enjoy helping college students navigate the academic, social, and personal challenges of this stage of life. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in the way, build practical skills to manage stress and stay focused, and strengthen your confidence and self-compassion. My goal is always to ensure you feel heard and understood, and to help you create a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and true to who you are. Together, we gain clarity on personal values, goals, and we build strategies to break through barriers and move towards what you truly want in life.

Hello, I’m Joanna, a compassionate and experienced psychotherapist dedicated to helping adults, college students, and student-athletes navigate life’s challenges. College can be an exciting time, but balancing academic pressure, relationships, independence, finances, athletic responsibilities, and expectations for the future can also feel overwhelming. I also provide therapy for athletes experiencing performance anxiety, difficulty balancing academics and athletics, burnout, injuries, identity concerns, low confidence, and stress related to competition or team expectations. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your individual needs. I earned my degrees from Northern Kentucky University with honors, specializing in Trauma-Informed Care, and I am currently pursuing my doctorate to expand my clinical expertise. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to ensure that treatment is personalized to your experiences and goals. Do you experience anxiety, depression, or dealing with distressing or traumatic events that are causing you to feel stuck? Are you experiencing an unhealthy relationship with food or body image? Do you feel like you are dealing with toxic relationships or patterns that are keeping you from living your best life? Therapy can provide support in helping you find a balanced relationship with food and body image, as well as find ways to manage overwhelming emotions and traumatic events. It can help bring awareness to the reasons why you are experiencing these challenges and provide a space for healing. In therapy, we work collaboratively to understand your experiences as well and find ways to navigate through them. Regardless of approach, the therapeutic relationship we build together is the most important component for successful outcomes. Connection is key! We will explore your experiences from your perspective in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, then find recognized and innovative therapies that best fit your needs. I have training in evidence-based techniques that incorporate specific tools, strategies and goals, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, CBT, attachment-based and Mindfulness approaches. I also work to raise awareness of ways in which your body may hold distressing experiences in unspoken ways. Some of my clients enjoy experience-based therapeutic approaches - like those in the art therapy group I’ve led for over 11 years. And if you just need someone to talk to, and process things with, I believe one of the most important experiences for a person is just to be heard and validated. Let’s look at the range of tools available to us and then help you find your unique path to holistic healing and meaningful peace. I have over 15 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist. I have worked in a range of treatment settings from inpatient, intensive outpatient, counseling centers, and private practice. Areas of specialization include disordered eating from restrictive patterns to overeating, binge eating, and emotional eating, as well as bulimia and body image disturbances. I have a passion for helping survivors of abuse and domestic violence. I also work with a range of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. I use evidence-based techniques including mindfulness and CBT, as well as incorporate creative and more dynamic strategies to facilitate the healing process. I am passionate about working with people of all sexual orientations, self-identification or lifestyles. It is my belief that it is our differences and unique perspectives that can bring the greatest healing. It takes much strength and courage to seek therapy and bring voice to difficult truths. The goal for therapy is to help support the changes that you wish to make and learn to internalize the strategies and tools needed to continue on with a happy and healthy life without the need for therapy. It would be an honor to join you on your journey.

I know that simply being around others feels like an almost impossible task much of the time; people can be selfish, ignorant, and judgmental, at times even your family and friends. You've endured abuse and often are overwhelmed with emotion. Your external life and what you feel within yourself can feel wholly disconnected -- It is precisely because of this disconnection that we suffer. I am here to listen, to learn of your experiences, and together we will awaken a new sense of yourself by discovering a hidden humanity in others, revealing a world you never thought possible. You don’t have to live disconnected, suffering without end. I approach healing from a relational perspective, in which I believe our most powerful tool for change can be harnessed through relationships. We all naturally have the capacity to relate in ways that promote growth, we simply have never been shown how. I’m here to nurture this experience with you. I understand that taking the step to engage in therapy is a big ask. Trust isn’t easy; it’s fragile. But, I profoundly believe in the power of developing a relationship that promotes learning and spurs curiosity. It’s spiritual for me - the essence of joy, love, and beauty, and I truly wish for all to experience it. Will you take this step with me?
I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in adolescence and young adulthood. I completed a fellowship at Mclean Hospital in Adolescent Mental Health. I was previously a psychologist at Mclean Hospital's Klarman Eating Disorders Center where I specialized in the care of individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and associated concerns. I enjoy working collaboratively with a client, couple, or family to understand how someone's struggles relate to their larger goals, hopes, and motivations and how to work to understand their experiences together and move closer to those goals. I use approaches to therapy that focus on understanding the role and functions of emotions and behaviors, understanding someone's experience in the context of relationships, and utilizing strengths and competencies in the therapy process. In addition to individual therapy, I have a passion for working with couples, families, and in relationship based therapies. I also provide parent consultation for parents supporting their child or adult child through an eating disorder. Please reach out if you have any questions and would like to schedule a complementary initial phone consultation.
