My approach to treatment is one of compassion and collaboration. My goal is to develop a positive working relationship with you and help create a space in which you can begin to better understand yourself, resolve problems, and heal the past. My approach is practical, down to earth, and individualized to your needs. Therapy doesn't have to be mysterious or scary. I enjoy working with those who are new to therapy and want to help you feel comfortable and in control. Empirically supported treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, are at the core of my treatment approach. I specialize in: anxiety, trauma, OCD, worry, school refusal, children and teenagers, relationship issues, loss or grief, immigration and acculturation challenges, women's issues, parenting, transition to college or graduate school.

Sometimes life is difficult to navigate and it is hard to understand why. Having an objective person who can offer compassionate insight can help to work through areas of your life that keep you from enjoying and living the life you wish for. Manifest Psychotherapy & Wellness is a group practice that offers support for difficulties that come with life transitions, anxiety/depression, trauma, grief & loss, LGBTQ related issues, and relationship issues. If you are experiencing hardship or you just need a place to process life in a supportive environment, we are here to help. We offer two main types of therapy, Talk therapy and EMDR Therapy which is used to process things like blocking beliefs, fears, and difficult experiences that interfere enjoyment and satisfaction of life. Vince and Tara are both EMDRIA trained EMDR therapists and are trauma informed. Our practice is also an ally of the LGBTQ community.

Your mental health matters. At Vita Health, we believe college students should have easy access to confidential, virtual, and personalized treatment options — so they get the most out of the collegiate experience. We’ll connect you with a licensed mental health care provider within days (not weeks). You can schedule virtual appointments in the evening or even on the weekends. And your therapist will develop a treatment plan just for you, supported by scientific evidence. We specialize in caring for patients with suicidal thoughts. Psychotherapists in our office offer individual psychotherapy services. Our staff accept major insurances. Some of our staff do not work with insurance and offer out-of-pocket fees on a competitive sliding scale. In addition to being trained and practicing mental health clinicians, our small staff share a background in and passion for the humanities. We believe this influences the way we listen, stay calm and connected in the face of pain, feel familiar and grounding in strange situations, and make room for other things when stuck in a thought or a feeling. First call. Leave a message with your name, phone number, and a few times during the week when you know you can speak privately for up to half an hour with one of our intake coordinators, free of charge. The office for psychotherapy and the humanities is supervised by Dr. Mest, licensed psychologist and teacher.

People are the center of my practice. While I have a wide range of experience and expertise in various techniques, I always take a person-centered approach to therapy. Every individual is unique, and it is important to treat your symptoms, not simply your diagnosis. Sometimes even the most basic and routine challenges of everyday life can seem complex, unpredictable, or even overwhelming. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, grief, or just going through a difficult transition, my goal is to foster a trusting, safe, and confidential environment for you to heal and grow. My philosophy is grounded in self-compassion and connection – that means helping my clients identify their strengths and learn resilience. Together, we can help you navigate life’s struggles and crises, emerging stronger, healthier, and more confident in yourself and your abilities. As a therapist, it is my responsibility to deliver compassionate, safe, and productive therapy that gives people real tools to create sustainable and lasting change in their lives. I believe that people heal most effectively when they feel empowered to regain control of their lives and confidence in themselves. My goal is to help clients create a sense of self-awareness in order to understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
