The Renfrew Center, a multi-generational, family-owned eating disorder treatment organization, has been a pioneer since opening the nation's first residential facility in 1985. With 15 locations nationwide and virtual care in 30+ states through Renfrew@Home, we have supported more than 100,000 adolescent girls, women, transgender, and non-binary individuals on the path to recovery. Our evidence-based treatment addresses the full range of eating disorders—anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating—along with co-occurring presentations such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Care is grounded in The Renfrew Center Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders®, part of Oxford University Press’s Treatments That Work series, with outcomes published in peer-reviewed journals. We offer a full continuum of care, from Residential to Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient Services, tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
I am a licensed social worker who works with children (ages 4 to 18), families and adults by providing a trusting and supportive environment in our Philadelphia and NJ offices and virtually. I have experience working with various clients from diverse backgrounds across settings including the community, schools, homes and outpatient settings. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, behavioral concerns, autism, and trauma. I am in the process of receiving supervision hours towards my clinical social work license. Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and motivational interviewing, I use client centered and trauma informed approaches to therapy. I myself am a first generation Jewish American woman. I have experienced some discrimination because of my religious-ethnic heritage and have the experience of being "other." This experience has enabled me to connect with people who experience "other-ness." I think most of us humans experience some form of trauma growing up, whether from hurts experienced in the family or in the larger society. Being able to talk about those hurts enables personal integration and healing. That is what my work as a therapist is about. One of the things I am aware of, for students and many others at this time in history, is the feeling of social isolation. I am offering a group for young adults to experience connected-ness. Look at my website for further information. I look forward to hearing from you.
I invite anyone who feels the need to talk to someone who is ready and eager to listen to them. I have worked in mental, behavioral and relational health for the last ten years and am excited to incorporate more couples, duos, ethically and consensually non-monogamous clients as well as individuals. As a student marriage and family therapist with a behavioral therapy background, I have worked alongside and with a diverse group of humans. One approach to issues which I have adopted in my practice is the idea that all behavior is communication, sometimes we need some help finding out what we are trying to say. In session, it is important that each person feels heard, seen and respected equally. I approach sessions with a focused ability to provide an outside set of eyes, voice, and join in a stance of co-collaborator with clients in the healing and problem solving process. Whether we are working through a conflict, identity questions, or just checking in.

Choosing therapy is a bold step towards positive change. My goal as a therapist is to support you as you move towards personal and relational healing while providing unconditional positive regard, structure for exploration, and nervous system support for staying present with the difficult emotions and re-grounding afterwards. I believe that you make sense and that you are an expert on your own experience. My practice is person-centered and celebrates queer and trans lives, poly and kink relationships, neurodivergent experience, and health at all sizes. I strive to practice cultural humility about experiences, histories, and cultural oppressions that fall outside my own. I use tools from trauma-informed modalities of IFS, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing. I am open to working with adults, adolescents, and children of families that are willing to commit to family sessions. I enjoy working with people who experience multiple marginalizations and cultural oppressions, artists, writers and activists.
