With more than a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I support adults 18 and older as they navigate some of life's most complex and personal challenges. My areas of expertise include ADHD, complex PTSD and trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, grief and loss, and life transitions. For those navigating relational difficulties, I also offer couples counseling, family therapy, and group counseling to help strengthen the connections that matter most. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins within a safe, authentic, and supportive therapeutic relationship, one where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process, and I encourage you to trust yourself in choosing the path that feels like the best fit. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to care, one that is always tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from psychoanalytic, person-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, I integrate evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based interventions. For those in couples or family therapy, this foundation helps strengthen communication, deepen connection, and create lasting change in your relationships. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to help you connect with your inner guidance, develop tools for growth, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. My path to becoming a therapist is a personal one. At 18, I knew something was wrong and reached out for help, scared and unsure of what to expect. What I found changed everything. My first therapist left a lasting impression on my life, and her impact planted the seed for the work I do today. That experience shaped not only my decision to become a therapist, but the kind of therapist I strive to be: someone who meets you with the care and presence that truly makes a difference. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me lost in a good book, working on a piece of writing, or hiking with my group through whatever trail is next on the list. I never pass up a chance to get to the beach, and live music holds a special place in my heart. Above all, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends, and being a mom is one of my greatest joys.
Working with a counselor can be anxiety provoking, so my focus is on helping you to feel at ease and create clear goals to make you feel better. I love to support clients in developing skills to manage emotions, build mindfulness in moving through pain, and find compassionate ways to heal. I have spent over 15 years facilitating individual and group services that center around grief, schema, dissociation, and complex trauma. I have been trained in solution focused therapy, ACT, DBT, and EMDR. My passion is helping others customize their healing journey and to take pleasure in every step on their path. It's rare that anyone wakes up overnight a different person. Rather it's through the beautiful process that we develop insight, wisdom, and happiness.
I am an inclusive, neuro-affirming clinician who believes deeply in people’s capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. I work with many late diagnosed neurodivergent individuals and caregivers. Additionally, I also work with individuals from all backgrounds who are navigating life transitions. For over a decade, I have supported clients navigating a wide range of experiences including anxiety, depression, sexuality and gender identity, spirituality and metaphysical exploration, parenting, grief, and the ongoing challenges of everyday life.
I believe that anyone can benefit from counseling, whether or not you have a significant mental health issue or are just facing stressful situations and life transitions. I work collaboratively with each individual client to form goals and a treatment plan that is as unique as the person I'm working with. Common issues that I help clients with include (but are not limited to): anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger management, relationship issues, LGBTQIA issues and concerns, self-esteem, family issues, and overall self-improvement. Some clients are looking for short-term counseling to address a specific issue that they currently face, while others are looking for long-term counseling to work through issues from the past or to learn to cope with chronic symptoms. I am here to help no matter where you fall on that spectrum! I am also happy to speak with you on the phone before setting up an initial appointment to determine if I am a good fit for what you hope to get out of therapy.

I offer in person availablity within the Western NY or Buffalo area and can provide telehealth services across NYS. You're entering or exiting college, and life feels like a maze; relationships, family, identity, academics, career... it can be a lot. Maybe you find yourself feeling stuck, overthinking everything, or wondering why you feel disconnected in your relationships. You are not alone. I help young adults drop self-limiting beleifs and find a sense of empowerment in their true selves. Whatever you are struggling with, I offer a space to explore unwanted patterns with curiosity (some humor) and no judgment. I believe the client-therapist relationship is the most important component in healing and I strive to be transparent and affirming. Together we can explore how your past is affecting the way you show up in the world now. We will practice tools, strengthen your self-understanding and create trust in your mind and body. As a creative arts therapist of 9 years, I am trained in traditional talk therapy and evidence based art therapy. It is your choice each session to decide which we use to explore your goals. Change can feel scary, and at the same time, often leads to fulfillment. I invite you to reach out so we chat about what you would like to see improve in your life.
I believe a therapist's job is to help people get "unstuck." All behavior serves a purpose. Even the most painful or confusing patterns often began as ways to cope with overwhelming circumstances. In therapy, we'll explore these parts of yourself and work to deepen self-awareness. Over time, you will come to recognize that while your emotional responses once made perfect sense, they may no longer serve you in the same way. Therapy is not about erasing or lingering in the past, but about making meaning from it. At the heart of my work is a belief in the healing power of feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll turn inward with curiosity and compassion so you can move through the world with greater clarity, coherence, and connection.

My goal is to help my patients find relief, whether it is falling asleep with ease, completing tasks confidently, being present and interacting with loved ones, or even coping with a difficult social settings. I received my doctorate degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Columba University in 2020. While board certified to treat a diverse scale of symptoms, I have over 4 years of experience with children, as well as adults with substance use disorders. My main focus is medication management. However, I believe it is important to meet someone where they are at and provide psycho-education about various options for treatment, rather than dictating one path. Choosing a medication is a collaborative and fluid discussion where there may be more than one right answer. I believe in taking the time not only to complete comprehensive assessment of symptoms, but also explore the root of the symptoms. I strive to create the most thoughtful plan for each individual, with the patient as an active participant in their own treatment.

At the Good Life Center for Mental Health we work conjointly with clients to identify the focus of treatment and build a strong therapeutic alliance. We strive to create a warm and supportive environment to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. I am committed to using evidence-based techniques that have been shown to produce measurable results. The therapeutic modalities I use have a robust body of research that support their use for the specific problems being addressed. My therapeutic approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and insight-oriented interventions to help identify the negative beliefs that have prevented you from achieving your personal and relationship goals and experience greater joy. I have extensive experience in the treatment of depression, self-esteem, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, body focus repetitive disorders, self–defeating habits, and bereavement.
If you are thinking about entering therapy, I encourage you to follow that call. Therapy can be an incredibly powerful tool in which you can safely explore your past, come into meaningful contact with the present, and ultimately set yourself on a better path for the future. I am passionate about supporting clients in developing effective coping skills to not only survive, but to feel equipped and empowered to thrive in their lives. I am a mental health counselor specializing in anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I offer an integrated approach that emphasizes treating the whole person, drawing from treatments across behavioral, relational, and person-centered models. I believe in meeting clients where they’re at and value each individual’s unique strengths and experiences. The time is always right to prioritize your mental health. Healing is rarely linear, and finding a provider who truly meets you where you are can make all the difference. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner bringing extensive clinical experience to every session, I specialize in helping people across the lifespan navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and mood disorders. Whether you're facing something you've carried for years or navigating a new and difficult chapter, you deserve a space grounded in trust and open, honest communication. My goal is to be a reliable, collaborative partner in your care, helping you gain clarity, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care is more than a philosophy; it's how every session is shaped. Helping you better understand your mental health and build a sustainable path toward healing and resilience is what this work is all about. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where your unique needs and goals guide the direction of care. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and medication management, my focus is on developing practical coping skills and improving your emotional well-being. Every approach is thoughtfully tailored to you, because no two people, and no two journeys, are exactly the same. My path to this work began with early work in psychiatric facilities, where I witnessed firsthand the power of compassionate, consistent mental health care. Experiencing that impact deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, patient-centered practice that continues to guide every aspect of care today. Each session is approached with this same level of empathy, clinical insight, and a collaborative spirit, because the relationship between patient and provider matters just as much as the treatment itself. Outside of the office, staying active, creative, and connected to everyday life keeps things grounded. Whether working out, experimenting in the kitchen, or finding a sense of calm and creativity in pottery class, these pursuits bring the same intentionality and presence that shape the care offered to every patient.
People seek counseling / therapy for many reasons - to gain understanding and insights, make changes, process experiences, for support and encouragement, and many others. Whether you are looking for a safe place to discuss whatever is on your mind, are interested in making life changes, or just want to give therapy a try, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and see how I may be able to help. You can count on me to be reliable, truthful, and kind. My approach to therapy recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship. I identify as queer and specialize in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I am an affirming practitioner. I have over 20 years of experience working with college and graduate students in college counseling centers, and as a result I've had the privilege of working with many people from all around the world. My therapeutic approach is culturally informed and integrates a whole-person perspective along with socio-cultural/political awareness and acknowledgement of the impact of systemic barriers on functioning. I am mindful of my own areas of privilege and how I show up in spaces and may be perceived by others. I attend to how I perceive others based on my own life experiences. I'm always working to educate myself and challenge my assumptions and biases. I read, try to keep up on the news (around the world, not just in the U.S.), and try to engage in conversations with people from various backgrounds. If you would like to have a brief, introductory conversation to discuss what you are looking for and how I may be able to help, please give me a call or send an email. An initial screening consultation is free. I look forward to hearing from you.
It’s easy to feel stuck or broken when we’ve never had the space to allow all of our emotions, the support to feel them safely, and the perspective to view ourselves with compassion. But when we finally get those things, we get to evolve, grow and change in ways that can be truly profound. My job isn’t to force you to do anything, but to help you learn and build what you’ve needed, so that you can evolve in the ways you want to. If I can count on you to teach me about yourself, about what you feel, and what you're hoping for, you can count on me to listen, and to offer options for how we can pursue your goals. I offer an open approach that includes you in deciding what we do and why, so we can be sure we're working in ways that are both understandable and meaningful to you. So far, this approach has led to clear results for people experiencing PTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and recent traumas. As we collaborate, I can provide additional support via methods like EMDR, IFS, EAET, mindfulness, exposure, and body-based therapies. Call or email any time.
