I am a psychotherapist (MHC-LP) at The Boundary in New York City, providing thoughtful, evidence-informed therapy for adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, helping clients understand the patterns that shape their lives while building practical skills for stability, resilience, and meaningful change. I work especially well with students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, offering a steady space where they can think clearly, process deeply, and grow at their own pace. Students can expect a grounded, nonjudgmental environment where their experiences are validated and their goals supported.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Queens, NY

Welcome to my practice! My name is Nick and I am a licensed mental health counselor, credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor, and board certified telemental health provider. All services are offered online only. Most of our suffering derives from within. Imagine if you talked to a loved one the way you talk to yourself, or if someone spoke to you the way you speak to yourself. It would be unacceptable and it would not be tolerated. Yet we surrender to these thoughts, repeating the same hurtful, debilitating monologue in the echo chamber of our mind. Herein lies the certainty that derives from being on your own, stuck in a position you never reasoned yourself into in the first place. As you develop an awareness of these thoughts that have so greatly affected your life, you’ll learn how to develop a new, more rational narrative based on the values and beliefs that you yourself will create. As your therapist, my job is to navigate this process as you learn to actively change your thoughts, which change your feelings and impact your actions. I am a firm believer in achieving functionality. We want life to work for us, and not against us. Being a flawed, living, breathing human being, I too struggle with this everyday, and I bring that intense desire to make things work in the therapeutic relationship. We work together to solve the ambivalence. It is understandable that when it comes to our motivation to change, we have our ups & downs. I know what it feels like to be stuck. It’s painful, and when you’re in it, you think it will never end. The good news is that it does, and the process of seeing that end can be so much better having someone that understands you by your side, every step of the way. So are you ready to get started?

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York City, providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I work one-on-one with folks navigating trauma, relationship challenges, maternal mental health, life transitions, and identity exploration. My approach focuses on slowing down to recognize the patterns in our lives—those that serve us and those that no longer do—so we can begin to move toward creating the life we want. I have experience supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence, gender-based violence, sexual abuse, immigration stressors, and LGBTQ+ issues, including gender identity. I take a collaborative, holistic approach to therapy, offering a safe, supportive space to slow down, reflect, and explore who you are and who you want to become. I believe our emotions offer meaningful insight. By understanding our patterns, we create space for healing, growth, and a more connected, authentic life. Life can be unpredictable and overwhelming, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. In therapy, we’ll explore ways to cope with challenges, reconnect with moments of joy, and find steadiness and strength in an ever-changing world. Together, we can safely explore how to thrive in a changing world.

Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.

Are you the go-to person at school, at home, and with friends? You might even feel resentful sometimes - you do so much for others, but you're not getting that same care back from them. And that only makes you feel "selfish" and more guilty! Helping people break free from overworking & resentment is my passion. Many of my clients are people who have partners, friends, or family members living with alcoholism/substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and chronic health issues. You don't have to handle this alone, and you can feel more empowered, connected, and at peace in your life. I offer both psychotherapy and career coaching for my clients. We have room to explore how your past experiences have shaped you, examine the systemic barriers you are facing, build on your strengths and skills, and focus on specific action steps you can take to make changes in your life now. My style is warm, interactive, and practical, focused on helping you gain self-compassion & confidence. If you'd like to talk more, please email me to schedule a free phone consultation. I'd love to hear from you!

My approach is both relational and practical. I focus on helping you understand the patterns that keep you stuck—especially overthinking, self-doubt, and relationship anxiety—while also giving you tools to respond differently in real time. I draw from a blend of approaches, including insight-oriented work and more structured strategies, depending on what’s most helpful for you. I’m active and engaged in sessions, not just listening but helping you make connections and move forward. The goal is not just insight, but actual change in how you think, feel, and show up.

Hello! I have over 20 years of experience working as a counselor and social worker and enjoy working with people of all ages. I employ techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, tapping, and motivational interviewing to assist my clients. I have a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. I believe in meeting people where they are at, and empowering them to do the things that they want to do, not the things others tell them they should be doing. Many of my clients have told me that I am easy to talk to, a good listener, and nonjudgmental. My communication during therapy is truthful and real. My tone and demeanor will fit what you need - some people desire a soft and gentle tone, and some people want to get straight to the point. I believe that it is important to hear a person's story and understand what their goals are before beginning any treatment. In our first session, we will talk about why you came to counseling and what you hope to achieve while meeting with me. I'd like to hear from you if you think we might be a good fit. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York with over 15 years of clinical experience. I enjoy facilitating individual, couple, family, and group therapy, and my focus is on students, staff and faculty who continue to address chronic mental health symptoms. I work in a partnership with clients where they are the "driver" and I can support the various "routes" in getting to the "destination" - success is defined by the client. I use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and Solution-focused therapy. I believe in a strength-based perspective to treatment because the client already knows what doesn't work. Pain can manifest in any and many forms. I am willing to sit with you and encourage you to understand that you possess the solution to your discomfort. Through my years of practice, I have many suggestions to share that have worked for others. I believe the shift of perspective is incredibly powerful in the storytelling of ourselves. I am motivated, flexible, and adaptive, and have been told "you have a lot of energy!" I look forward to welcoming you with a warm smile to a session where one's words are heard and validated. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, so you're only responsible for your co-pay!
