Much of the time we feel we should have it all together. We have to know who we are, have a career path, a life plan, walk the straight and narrow. But you may feel you are standing on the edge of a cliff and fear jumping into an abyss. Or your path is filled with roadblocks. You may feel unfulfilled by the path you started but afraid to be different, or make a change. Traumatic events out of your control may be keeping you from feeling whole, feeling yourself, feeling worthy. Or the stresses, unpredictability, and injustices of life just wane on you. You seek a place to process, grow, and be your whole self. I provide an environment of cultural humility with culturally, spiritually, and trauma responsive therapy. I meet you where you are and work with you to understand where you want to go, who you are now and who you want to be, how you feel now and how you want to feel. I am direct but compassionate and encouraging. If you are ready to take a step towards healing, personal growth, making a change, or just need a safe place to process daily life, my door is open. You don’t have to have it all together, or be walking the straight and narrow. You are welcome, just as you are. We will navigate whatever path or road you seek together.

I am adept at treating much of the human condition because my training is existential-humanistic. My approach is holistic, client-centered, and tailored to the specific place you are in the world. I will help you move to your place of purpose and meaning, as well as evoke your innate healing ability. I do not think there is an ideal client, but there is an ideal relationship that we establish together. I ensure that you feel attended to, heard and seen in the way you wish to be. You deserve stellar care. Visit or call for free 15 minute consultation. As a yoga instructor, I will draw (if you wish) from ancient healing techniques and practices; this includes breath work, mindfulness, meditation and philosophical teachings. As a specialist in primary care behavioral health, I am able to focus your treatment comprehensively, integrating your physical and mental well-being. No matter your ailment, I will provide you with focused, dedicated, experienced, and compassionate care. You will feel relief on your first visit, and after some time working together, you can expect tremendous growth and healing. This goes for individuals, couples, and groups.

I specialize in creating a safe, affirming space for individuals within the LGBTQ+ communities, where I have lived experience, and individuals navigating chronic illness and caregiving. Therapy with me is different! My sessions are truly inclusive, person-centered, safe, affirming, and free from judgement. I bring a lighthearted sense of humor to even the heaviest topics. I have always had a calling for helping others, and I am so grateful to have found the career path of clinical social work. I was inspired to become a therapist after I met with a therapist after my father passed away when I was a young girl. I know first-hand how scary it can be to share your story, but trust me having an un-biased, non-judgmental, listening ear can go a long way. I have gained valuable skills working in various settings, including non-profit work, public health, research, and inpatient hospitalization. My experiences have allowed me to work with people of all ages, across diverse backgrounds, and on the individual, family, and group level. I work with individuals aged 12 and up, couples, and families. Prior to joining Wake Counseling & Mediation, I worked with adults who have chronic health conditions using my training in Lifestyle Medicine, a holistic approach to preventing disease through nutrition, exercise, and self-care habits. I additionally have worked closely with the gender diverse population by addressing anxiety, depression, and gender dysphoria, creating a support group, and engaging in research to better gender affirming care. I also have clinical experience in counseling pregnant & postpartum women, their children and families. Depending on your needs, I utilize a variety of modalities including Solutions-Focused, Psychodynamic, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. I prefer to use a multicultural, person-centered, and strengths-based lens in all situations. No matter the setting or population, I provide a passionate and caring approach for patients to work through all of life’s challenges, whether that be chronic illness, major life transitions, mental health concerns including anxiety, depression trauma, and sexual or gender identity journey. As a counselor, I am here to listen, partner with you, and offer support for you to overcome obstacles, meet your goals, and ultimately live your best life possible.
