Having the ability to express yourself freely and without judgment is an essential part of therapy, and the relationship between client and therapist is a key aspect of this. As a social worker, I recognize the importance of human relationships and the environment we live in, as well as the negative impact they have on our ability to function. I utilize a person-centered, strengths based approach to understand individuals as a whole, and work collaboratively with clients to address their challenges and reach their goals. I provide individual therapy focusing on anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Identifying as a nonbinary lesbian myself, I understand how difficult it is to find a competent provider with whom you feel safe and understood. If you’ve made it this far, I encourage you to take the next step and reach out so we can see if this would be a good fit for both of us.

With a background in both traditional talk therapy and expressive art therapies, I offer a holistic approach to mental health that encourages self-exploration and healing through creativity. I understand the pressures that college students face—whether it's academic stress, relationship struggles, or identity exploration—and I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for each individual to express themselves and find balance. Through the use of art-based interventions, I aim to help students enhance self-awareness, process difficult emotions, and develop coping strategies that promote overall mental health.
I offer therapy sessions in both English and Mandarin. I was born and raised in China, and later came to the U.S. for grad school. My personal experience in navigating the challenges of life transitions, cultures, and expectations inspired me to create a safe, gentle space where you can be heard and understood. I’m here to listen to your stories and unspoken emotions, and help you find your true voice. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may be holding you back and gently uncover the myths that no longer serve you. I’m not here to judge or talk down to you—I’ll be patient and supportive as you grow. I’ll celebrate your progress because I genuinely care, and I hope to make this journey one of curiosity, compassion, and even joy as you step into the best version of yourself.
