While we may not always have control over all aspects of our lives, we have control over how we choose to react, how we make meaning of our situation, and most importantly how we grow from the challenges presented to us. I work with adults throughout the lifespan, from young adults to older adults, in an individual and group therapy setting. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, life transitions, and navigating relationships. I love working with clients who recognize the need for change in their lives and are motivated to work towards bettering their relationship with themselves and others. I utilize both psychodynamic (how the past influences the present) and interpersonal approaches (how relational patterns impact psychological well-being) to therapy. In addition, I also borrow from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/Mindfulness to help build healthy coping strategies. I do not believe in a one size fits all therapy, but I do believe in two necessary factors: hope and a strong therapeutic relationship. Hope ignites the courage to take the first step towards change and the therapeutic relationship is the vessel in which the journey towards change takes place.

With over two decades in healthcare, I’ve had the privilege of caring for others both directly and through innovative technology solutions. Along the way, I discovered that true well-being extends beyond physical health; it includes nurturing the mind and spirit. This realization led me to mindfulness, yoga, and meditation—practices that transformed my life and helped me feel more present, grounded, and compassionate. Inspired by this journey, I became a certified yoga instructor and completed counseling training, deepening my commitment to creating space for healing and growth. Today, I bring together years of experience and a passion for holistic wellness to support individuals through life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and guided by compassion, offering a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. I believe in the transformative power of presence and in honoring the natural connection between body, mind, and spirit. These values shape every interaction, allowing me to respect your unique story, identity, and lived experiences as we work together toward the life you envision. My goal is to walk alongside you not just as a counselor, but as a partner in your journey toward growth and well-being.

I believe therapy starts with connection. I bring warmth, sensitivity, and active engagement to my work, creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, past trauma, or navigating a major life transition, I’m here to help you understand yourself with more clarity and self-compassion. My approach is grounded in the belief that people are more than a diagnosis. I work from a non-pathologizing, wellness-centered perspective, which means I focus on understanding your unique story rather than reducing it to symptoms or labels. Together, we can explore the deeper patterns that may be getting in your way and move toward a more grounded, meaningful way of living. My psychotherapy education includes a master’s in counseling from Northwestern University. I’ve also completed a post-graduate fellowship in psychoanalysis through the Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis, as well as a behavioral medicine program with Boston Behavioral Medicine. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as a physician assistant, working closely with patients across medical settings. That experience continues to inform the way I understand the mind-body connection and how stress, trauma, and emotional pain can show up physically as well as mentally. In addition to my work at Omega Therapy Practice, I’ve provided therapy in community mental health settings, supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, and relationship difficulties. I enjoy working with adults of all ages including college students, the elderly, healthcare professionals, LGBTQIA, those exploring identity, and healing from past wounds. Therapy can be a powerful space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. I believe that many challenges we face are shaped by internal and external systems, and I support clients in easing excess self-blame while finding clarity and strength in their responses. I use a strength-based, collaborative approach to help people feel more hopeful, grounded, and empowered in their healing process.

In my work I am dedicated to supporting clients who are facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, and mood regulation. I see therapy as an opportunity to identify goals and problem-solve the roadblocks that have stalled obtaining them. I believe that treatment is a partnership between client and therapist. Whether it’s identifying negative thinking patterns with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or incorporating mindfulness, radical acceptance, and distress tolerance with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); the supports I offer are based on your needs and goals.

With 12 years of experience in the mental health field, I take a thoughtful, compassionate, and interactive approach to therapy. I specialize in working with individuals and couples facing challenges such as trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, feelings of dissatisfaction, childhood trauma, and relationship challenges. My career includes working with adolescents, in-home family therapy, chronic mental health needs, and primary care settings. I have recently graduated with my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Framingham State University in May 2024. In my work with couples, I recognize that communication can often be a significant barrier to connection. Many couples I work with experience their own mental health needs, which can complicate interactions and lead to misunderstandings. I create a safe and supportive environment where partners can openly express their thoughts and feelings. Together, we explore the underlying issues that may be hindering communication/connection and work on strategies to enhance understanding and empathy. Using techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic approaches, I help couples develop practical skills for healthier communication. This includes learning how to express needs effectively, navigate conflict, and build emotional intimacy. My goal is to empower couples to reconnect and strengthen their relationships, even in the face of individual challenges. I extend my couple’s work to family therapy, in which I work with small family systems around communication and interactional patterns. For individuals, I focus on fostering self-discovery and skill building. I help clients develop coping strategies tailored to their unique experiences and mental health needs. From Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I pull a blend of coping strategies and reframing to assist individuals in changing what they can change and learning to tolerate/accept what they cannot change. From my experience in primary care, I incorporate wellness both emotionally and physically into sessions. As a recent college graduate, I can relate to the challenges of modern day students. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and as is such, invite clients to share their concerns and feedback throughout the process. My style pulls from a blend of approaches and my approach is interactive. When beneficial, I collaborate with other service providers to enhance our work together. I look forward to walking alongside your journey.

Psychotherapy can help individuals identify the cause of pain, gain insight, expand coping skills, and remove barriers that get in the way of meaningful relationships. Looking inward and exploring your thoughts and feelings can be a daunting and scary process. I hope I can join you in your journey towards healing and positive change. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with college students, particularly with students with marginalized identities. I have 15+ years of experience working at college counseling centers as a clinician, supervisor, director of training, and director of diversity and inclusion. My approach to therapy is centered on social justice, developmental, and relational psychodynamic principals. This lens allows me to pay attention to the impact of early childhood and family experiences, social-cultural factors, relational patterns, systematic oppression, and self awareness when working with individuals. I believe that a truly healing therapeutic relationship explores and fosters all intersecting identities of a person.
