Are you seeking relief and freedom from past hurts, painful relationships, or patterns like perfectionism, anxiety, or disordered eating? Maybe life feels like a constant struggle, and no matter how hard you try, you keep ending up in the same stuck place. It doesn’t have to stay that way. I specialize in helping clients experience deep, lasting healing using evidence-based approaches like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems). These gold-standard treatments support healing from trauma, emotional wounds, and entrenched behaviors by addressing the root of the pain—not just the symptoms. For those who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling that integrates spiritual support with clinical care, helping you move toward greater freedom, clarity, and wholeness.

Life may seem overwhelming, as if you are alone and no one understands you. Maybe you have an issue with someone, but the thought of conflict makes you shut down and avoid the situation. Perhaps you are anxious or consumed with worry or afraid of disappointing others. I have worked with many patients who struggle to stay connected in relationships or effectively communicate with others. You could struggle with anger issues and use anger to defend and protect yourself from being hurt. I have specialized training in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychotherapy techniques to help, especially if you have a history of complex trauma. We first focus on building the therapy alliance, which I will describe in detail with you. You do the work, while I collaborate with you in your journey.
I was a client before I became a practitioner and still utilize my own therapist from time to time. I do on-line telehealth. I encourage my clients to get cozy with a coffee, tea, favorite blanket, hoodie, and animal in lap if applicable. The online process is very convenient and easy to do. We are all swimming in this pool of life and suffering is inevitable, my job is to help you navigate it in a way that you feel supports your best self. Therapy is only as good as your relationship with your therapist, so if you feel like you resonate with me, send me an email.

I am highly relational in nature, and love working through relationship challenges with family, romantic relationships, and friendships. I regularly work with young adults, couples, and families, so I have a wide range of experience to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, relational issues, communication issues, life transitions, & other common life stressors. As therapists, we often have a front-row seat to miracles. Well, okay, there are no miracles really. The fact is “fixing” a relationship or eliminating unhealthy behaviors can feel overwhelming. Yet, we are constantly amazed by the resiliency of clients and the transformative nature of the therapy. We strongly value the client-therapist relationship and heavily emphasize building rapport. Many clients will see a therapist for one session and never return, citing a lack of rapport with the therapist as the reason. We are humbled every day by the fact that clients choose to share some of the most vulnerable aspects of their lives with us. Whether you are struggling to overcome an addiction, repair a relationship or seeking to heal from past traumas, you have come to the right place. We have the experience to help you achieve your goals.
Do you procrastinate and then feel anxious to meet deadlines? Do you stay up at night with thoughts that play over and over in your head? Do you feel that everyone is enjoying life except you. I will help you gain insight into your experiences and develop strategies to cope with whatever is keeping you from the life you deserve. I will provide you a safe and judgement free space in the setting you are most comfortable in. I am laid back and offer individual sessions sprinkled with humor and a smile.

Hello, and thank you for looking at my profile. After working at Butler University's counseling center for the past 13 years, I recently transitioned to full time private practice. I love working with college students and hope to continue working with them in my new practice. I have a lot of experience with stress, anxiety, body image, substance abuse, depression, relationship problems, grief/loss, and the changing identities and developments that take place during the college years. I offer both in person and teletherapy and I am typically able to be flexible with scheduling. I'd love a chance to meet you to see if we would be a good fit!
