I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who seeks to provide a safe and protected space that allows individuals to engage on a journey of emotional, psychological and spiritual exploration. I use a combination of mind-body approaches including mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). hypnotherapy, dream work, shamanic healing practices and energy work to help people identify and alter beliefs, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, judgments, and painful memories that stand in the way of living one's life. This work allows wounds to heal, helps a person break free from the destructive and unhealthy patterns and moves the person toward a greater sense of emotional and spiritual well-being. I use this bio-psycho-spiritual approach to address the body, mind, and spiritual aspects of a problem and to provide a way for individuals to discover and heal the root causes or those sensitizing events that are often contributing to or fueling the current problems. This encourages the potential for a more whole and integrated person to emerge.

College is awesome, but it can be really tough, too. Juggling school with the rest of your life--work, family, friends, relationships--can take a toll on your mental health. Anxiety, stress, depression, and even suicidal thoughts are not uncommon, but you don't have to navigate them alone. My internship was at IUPUI CAPS, and I have lots of experience as an advisor and adjunct professor, so I know better than most how stressful college can be. I'd love to help you turn down the volume in your mind and move toward the life you want.

I have been working with adolescents and young adults for 12 years. I focus on each person's individual strengths to overcome emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I believe the therapeutic process is most successful when it is founded on a trusting, authentic, and collaborative relationship, where my clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, along with a range of other therapeutic techniques to individualize the therapy process for each client. My clinical expertise includes working with clients experiencing Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, grief, and difficulty with major life changes or stressors (especially college transitions).

My first priority is that you feel SAFE in this space. We won't dive into the deep end on day one. Instead, we’ll go at your pace, focusing on building a space where you feel safe enough to exhale first. My goal isn’t to 'fix' you (because I don't believe that you are broken), but to partner with you in figuring out what’s getting in the way of the life you want. I specialize in working with people who are skeptical of the therapy process, nervous about opening up, or people who haven't had the best experiences in the past with treatment and maybe think therapy isn't for them. Additionally, most of my clients come to me with issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and addiction. Kix is a therapy dog who joins me at work every day too and would be happy to join you in session! But don't worry - he can also take a nap during your session if you prefer.

It additionally allows me to offer reduced fee evaluations and partner with other agencies to provide some pro bono evaluations each year. The range for completion of a comprehensive evaluation was determined with the understanding that many individuals/families will pay the base level fee, and I am aware that the overall cost may impact whether individuals can pay the full cost/full fee for completion of evaluation services. If you/your loved one is in need of a reduced fee evaluation, please let me know. If I am not able to accommodate this need, I will do my best to identify providers who may be able to do so. The evaluation process includes time spent in direct contact with individuals and/or caregivers via clinical interviews and caregiver interviews for children and adolescents, face-to-face testing, scoring and interpreting assessment data, reviewing records, completing collateral calls with providers or support persons (if/as appropriate and with a release of information), writing the evaluation report, and providing feedback. The total percentage may vary year to year based on the ebb and flow of business profits and costs associated with maintaining the practice. Middle Fee for 2024: $2100 to $2200 (Middle Fee for 2025 will be $2200 to $2300)** At this level, you are helping me run a sustainable business that promotes the highest possible quality assessment services for all individuals, including you/your loved one. Do you find yourself unable to shut your mind off? Replaying past events or chronically worrying? Is your inner critic keeping you from finding confidence in yourself and security with your place in the world? Have you experienced emotional pain and confusion that keeps your past in the present? Are you struggling to build self-esteem or find self-worth? Has the stress from daily responsibilities compounded existing problems with depression, anxiety, or loss? It is possible to move through emotional pain and self-doubt. Together, we can build insight into thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that may be holding you back; explore your strengths and values; and determine how to make healthy change a part of your life. Learning styles vary, so I use elements from different therapeutic approaches. We can work together to discover the strengths you may not have known you have to achieve more satisfaction and balance in the most important areas of your life.
