You are too familiar with stress, worry, and anxiety - even overthinking. Are you feeling lonely, inadequate, socially anxious, even panicky? Sick and tired of living constantly anxious and fearful? You can be helped to grow and expand into a state of freedom, self-confidence, and empowerment to live a life worth living. Avoidance and self-medicating anxiety with alcohol/drugs can leave you high and dry - even feeling worse! You can learn how to make your fears and worries smaller and manageable and practice the steps toward leading a full, satisfying life. This is too important. Relief is real: Life is more than just surviving! Are recurring distressing thoughts, flashbacks, and nightmares of past events - even from childhood - haunting you? Perhaps you have tried "talk therapy," but after a short time your return to the "same old, same old" without getting the results you long for. That's discouraging, isn't it? Long-lasting change is possible. Don't lose hope: Let me help you. With effective therapy like EMDR, we can rewrite negative stories in your unconscious mind, where irrational fears and trauma reside, so that you may achieve a more thoroughgoing renovation of your mind, soul, and spirit. I worked eight years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in several settings before expanding my specialty to Psychiatry/Mental Health; it was the best career decision I could have made. I started practicing Psychiatry in a correctional setting, treating adolescents and adults. It was there that I recognized the significance of early mental health promotion, screening, and treatment. For the past four years, I’ve worked in a private practice with a diverse patient population across the lifespan. My main role is assessing, diagnosing, education, and medication management, and I occasionally incorporate therapy. I have found that motivational interviewing helps elicit the patient’s goals and determine readiness for change. The individual patient and his/her goals dictate my chosen therapy modality. Brief supportive therapy, Grief therapy, and CBT interventions are the modalities I most often incorporate. All psychiatry providers at Foresight have specialized experience in treating a wide range of common mental health conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, and PTSD. In addition, I specialize in the following areas: academic stress, BIPOC mental health issues, CBT-I, comorbidities/medical complexity, deprescribing, holistic approaches to psychiatry, LGBTQIQ2s+ mental health, personality disorders, somatic symptoms disorders, trauma-informed care, anger management, antisocial personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, chronic illness, chronic pain, developmental disorders, dissociative disorders, first responders, grief, men’s issues, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, racial identity, self harming (non-suicidal self injurious behavior), transgender care, veterans care, women’s issues (PMDD, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, etc.)

My name is Elizabeth Bryant. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming couples therapist trained in both Gottman and Developmental Model Couples therapy I have come to learn that not every size fits all. Bringing two different people with their own unique backgrounds, life experiences, and values is bound to be tricky. Trying to build a life with someone is wonderful but a challenging adventure to embark on. I work with a variety of couples including but not limited to LGBTQIA+, monogamous, polyamorous, heterosexual, interracial, and neurodivergent. The majority of the couples I work with are looking for a new way forward together but are facing challenges that often feel unresolvable without guidance. It takes courage, vulnerability, patience, open communication and a genuine desire to heal and grow. It is not a journey taken lightly but together we can create a path towards deeper connection and a joy-filled relationship.
Please note that I only see clients who are in Georgia. I am currently providing individual therapy virtually through a secure platform. Struggling with emotions, thoughts, behaviors? Wanting to make some changes? If you are seeking to address issues and stressors in your life, support and challenge in therapy may help. I have over twenty years of experience working with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns; much of my work has been with in university settings with college aged adults. I use a variety of techniques to help identify and change behaviors and thoughts that negatively impact your life. I generally see clients by appointment Monday through Thursday. During your first visit, I ask a variety of questions to get a broad view of your concerns, including your presenting issues, history, physical health, daily activities, social life, substance use, and other concerns. From that information we can determine goals for therapy and if we are a good fit. I will make suggestions if I think you need in-person or other services. I work with a wide range of psychological issues, and have significant experience working with women's issues and eating disorders . I have been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy which has been found to be effective with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also draw from other theoretical approaches to provide an individualized approach for each client based on their presenting issues, symptoms, values, goals, and history. I have experience working with diverse clients, from older adolescents through aged sixty-five, from a variety of ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic and sexual identity backgrounds.

Please note that my practice is virtual. There are no in-person appointments available. Even after many years of work in the field, I remain amazed and reassured by the resilience and determination of people to make the changes they wish to make and begin to live the lives they genuinely desire. It takes strength and hope to reach out to someone for help with a difficulty. I honor that strength by providing a setting that nurtures those assets while simultaneously supporting the desire to change. Because change is sometimes difficult, I provide a setting that helps individuals explore desired outcomes and build new skills in a safe and confidential environment. I genuinely enjoy witnessing the growth that occurs through psychotherapy and understand that changes often continue to occur long after therapy concludes. The change and growth that transpire are testament to the power of interpersonal relationships. Whether that relationship is therapist-patient, partners or spouses, parent-child, etc., we grow and thrive when our relationships are healthy, including our relationship with our self. With this in mind, my understanding of how people change and grow is rooted in systems and interpersonal process theories. Additionally, I appreciate that difficulties are often multifaceted, having social, psychological, and biological contributing factors. My work springs from this understanding and experience and incorporates behavioral, cognitive, and dynamic interventions as appropriate.

Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012.
