I specialize in identity development, men’s issues, and working with the Latino community. Additionally, I work with teens and adults experiencing severe anxiety, depression, complex trauma, abuse, PTSD, family and interpersonal conflict, acute mental health disorders, and difficulties with cultural adaptation, immigration stress, and identity-based discrimination.
Under directed experience and clinical supervision Do you sometimes feel disconnected from the people you care about, even when you want closeness? Are old patterns or coping strategies getting in the way of the relationships or life you are trying to build? I believe we are all wired for belonging, connection, and intimacy. When life experiences disrupt those instincts, it can leave us feeling guarded, uncertain, or stuck repeating habits that numb pain but create new problems. I work with teens, adults, and couples who want to rebuild trust in themselves and their relationships, especially when issues like addiction, trauma, or communication breakdowns have gotten in the way. I also have a strong passion for supporting men as they navigate identity, emotional expression, and connection in a world that often discourages vulnerability. In therapy, my role is to help make what feels unclear more understandable. I listen deeply, bring steady nonjudgmental presence, and help you look at both your strengths and your struggles without shame. While change is collaborative, I will walk alongside you with direct guidance, practical tools, and reflection that supports sustainable growth. My approach blends humanistic and person-centered foundations with CBT, DBT, narrative, and Gestalt techniques. Together, we can explore the stories and patterns that have shaped your relationships, process grief or trauma that may still weigh heavy, and build real-world skills for emotional regulation, confidence, and connection. Whether you are coping with depression, anxiety, addiction or substance use, relationship stress, or significant transitions, we will create a path forward that feels meaningful and achievable. It’s an honor to support people as they uncover more clarity, balance, and resilience. I offer a grounded, respectful space where you can reconnect with what matters most and take steps toward living and loving with more freedom and less fear. If you’re ready to explore whether we could be a good fit, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation.
Are you feeling strangely absent from your own experience, as though you're moving through life on autopilot? I work with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected from themselves and others, or uncertain about the life they want to be living. Let's slow things down and take a look at what keeps you stuck, noticing what’s been happening on repeat and what shifts when you begin to respond differently. This work is about making more space for presence, connection, and intentional living. Your body holds the wisdom for healing, and my role is to support you in reconnecting with your innate capacity. Together, we expand your capacity to feel, access inner resources, and experience greater ease and connection. We work with what’s happening in your body in real time, supporting embodied shifts that align with who you are now. If this resonates, it often means something has been running in the background for a while without much space to look at it directly. Let's begin to bring that into view together. Reach out for a complimentary phone consultation to explore if working together feels like the right next step. Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed by worry, having a hard time quieting their minds, struggling with focus or procrastination, or burning themselves out from feeling the need to be perfect. You may be doing well academically while inside you're feeling exhausted, stuck, or like you're working much harder than everyone else just to keep up. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, phobias, ADHD-related challenges, perfectionism, and difficulty managing the many demands in this stage of their lives. Some individuals come to therapy because they can't stop worrying or overthinking. Others find themselves avoiding situations because of intense fears, notice themselves getting stuck in repetitive thought loops, needing reassurance before they can move forward, or feeling unable to let go of the possibility that something might go wrong. You don't need to have a diagnosis or know exactly what's going on to reach out. My goal is to provide a space where you don't have to have everything figured out. Therapy is a place to better understand yourself, learn practical strategies, and develop more confidence in navigating academics, relationships, independence, and the transition into (later) adulthood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, helping you feel more capable and less controlled by anxiety, perfectionism, or self-expectations. I use CBT and integrate mindfulness and ERP for anxiety disorders and OCD.
It can be one of the most difficult steps to make that first phone call for therapy. Typically, we are making that call when life feels the most stressful or when we are feeling at our most vulnerable. I strive to support the courage, strength, and determination involved in seeking support. Described by clients as caring, supportive, and warm, I believe each person possesses innate skills and strengths that can be utilized within therapy. I value strengths-based, person-in-environment, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational therapeutic approaches to support each individual’s intrinsic worth and value. I love working with adults, couples, and families to explore difficulties in coping emotionally, breaking the cycle of addiction or substance use, balancing life stressors, establishing self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, and maintaining healthy relationships. I strive to help you find your voice, offer new coping skills, and explore presenting concerns within a non-judgmental and warm environment. Think we might be a good fit? Contact me today for a free consultation to learn more about how we can work together.
I work with adolescents (12+) and young adult women who are struggling with perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, and relational difficulties. They are often adjusting to major life transitions such as relationship changes, switching schools, and/or changing jobs. Together, we will explore how these experiences impact your sense of self and help you build confidence, set boundaries, and find balance in the midst of change. I offer a trauma-informed, person-centered approach using evidence-based methods like CBT, gestalt, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I am trained in Trauma Focused-CBT at the Medical University of South Carolina. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel truly heard and understood. Getting started with therapy can feel like a big step and that’s totally normal. But reaching out is also a really brave move. Whether you’re ready to dive in or just exploring the idea, feel free to reach out. I’d be honored to support you and walk alongside you in whatever you're going through. You matter. You’re not in this alone.
I work with undergraduate and graduate students who are struggling with a variety of mental health, substance use, and existential problems. My patients are often looking to reduce their suffering and increase their sense of meaning and purpose in life. I especially enjoy working with people who are interested in a deeper self-understanding and working together to uncover the feelings, narratives, conflicts, and motivations that may be ruling their lives but outside of their awareness. My first priority when working with new patients is to establish trust and help create a relationship that is safe and honest. Within the context of this secure relationship, my patients are able to better understand their self-limiting or self-defeating patterns, mourn life's losses, and establish or reestablish a life that is organized around the values that matter most to them. My hope is that my patients will develop a reliable self-esteem, improve their ability to be in relationship with self and others, and live life with less reactivity and more flexibility. I received an MSW degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work before gaining clinical experience in diverse settings all along the addiction medicine levels of care. I opened a private practice in 2023 and currently provide services to adolescents, adults, families, and organizations.

I aim to foster genuine and meaningful relationships with each of my clients so that we can work together toward creating a supportive space for growth, healing, motivated change, hope, and self-discovery.
My mission is to provide a non-judgmental space for us to work towards reaching your goals. My approach to therapy is spiritually and culturally sensitive. Clients find me to be empathetic, honest and easy to talk to. Victims of narcissists, co-dependency, self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship issues are areas of particular focus. Using Gottman Methods and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, I will be a guide by your side helping you to understand what has happened in your relationship, whether it can be repaired, and if so, how. I use Prepare-Enrich research-based program for engaged couples and Discernment Counseling for couples considering divorce or separation.
A licensed psychologist, I received both my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and my M.S. in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. When faced with difficult situations, we often feel discouraged. I believe that a safe, supportive environment is key to growth, and I offer plenty of encouragement. I help clients gain perspective through empathic exploration. We’re all doing the best we can in life, but sometimes we get in our own way. As much as I’m comfortable with deep emotions, I also believe in the importance of bringing laughter and humor into the room!
