I enjoy working with young adult and middle-aged women who have experienced: •Chronic Shame and Imposter Syndrome •Workplace Dissatisfaction and Burnout •Childhood and/or Adulthood Sexual Trauma •Race-based Workplace Stressors •Social Phobia and Generalized Anxiety •People-pleasing and Boundary Issues As your soon-to-be therapist, I am committed to crafting a nonjudgmental and restorative environment that will empower you to extract the maximum benefit from our sessions. Gen Z and Millennial women are often bombarded with difficult life transitions such as adulting, relationship distress, quarter-life crises, career pursuits, parenting, caregiving, and more. This can be a lot to manage! Societal pressures plus the changing roles of women in this age group require a focused, feminist, and knowledgable approach. It can be tricky searching for the right therapist, so I appreciate you being here in the first place. My approach is fine-tuned, using radical genuineness, to help you learn how to manage these unique stressors while maintaining authenticity and calm. I am practiced in several targeted therapies that meet the needs of women in transition including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). In my personal experience, I have come to view change as the only constant, which is why I find great value in being able to help my clients through significant life transitions. Looking back at the clients I've served over the years, I have been able to find something about every one of them that I admire. I love meeting my clients where they are and seeing how I can support their walk through life in a genuine, non-judgmental, and meaningful way. If this sounds like the right approach for you, feel free to reach out for a phone consult.
The freedom of life after high school was supposed to feel different than this. The college and young adult years are full of possibility with new experiences, new independence, and the freedom to begin shaping life on your own terms. It’s exciting to explore who you are and what you want, with so many paths open ahead. But that same freedom has left you frozen in fear. With so many new experiences, choices, and no clear “right” answers, it’s easy to slip into second-guessing, pressure, or self-doubt. You’ve gone from knowing exactly what you were doing and excelling to feeling lost and suddenly feeling that perfect 4.0 slipping away. What should feel like possibility can quickly start to feel like a burden and you just want someone to tell you what to do with your life. I help high-achieving students like you gain clarity and perspective as they tackle these exciting, yet sometimes anxiety provoking, milestones because feeling at home in your studies, career, and connections is essential to living a fulfilled life.

One of my happy places is the beach. I am from the beautiful island of Jamaica and some of my most treasured memories and happiest times were spent at the beach. Living in Atlanta, I am not able to go to the beach as often as I would like, therefore, I bring the beach into my daily life through relaxation skills, music, décor, and my general mindset. As your therapist, my hope is that I can help you find your “happy place.” This may be a place, a person, a pet, an activity... anything that nourishes your mind, body and soul. I welcome the opportunity to help you learn how to develop solutions, feel empowered, and create a healthy lifestyle filled with joy, stability, self-acceptance, emotional well-being, and ultimately, happiness.

My areas of specialization include chronic illness, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergence, trauma-related dissociation, and complex trauma. As a therapist with more than 30 years of experience I know that investing in oneself takes time and effort but also that the outcome is well worth the commitment – YOU are worth the commitment. By working together to address issues related to trauma, mood (anxiety, depression, anger), LGBTQ+ identity, and/or life transitions we will work to create ways of thinking and acting that allow you to be the best version of you that you can be. Whether the issues to be addressed in therapy are relatively new or they have been with you since childhood, I can help you create the satisfying life you deserve. From our first interaction, you can expect me to be compassionate, empowering, open-minded, and empathetic. I will help you understand the ways in which your thought processes and behaviors interfere with your life and challenge you to incorporate healthier ways to cope. Together, we will create a space where you feel safe enough to be your authentic self. Please visit my website to understand more about how I would approach our work together or to read my blogs about topics commonly addressed in therapy. I would love to speak with you to determine if I am the right person to help you to address whatever interferes with your wellbeing. You are so deserving of a contented life – let me help you get there.
Within my practice, I have diligently developed a way to blend person-centered counseling, trauma-informed care, and spiritual wellness to guide individuals to noticeable relief during life transitions, self-worth struggles, emotional wounds, and other various challenges. I work with young and maturing individuals ready for emotional awareness, self-worth restoration, and spiritual realignment. My clients seek a safe space to break free, rediscover, and become who they were created to be—whole, worthy, and beautifully aligned. I work collaboratively with you to set meaningful, realistic goals that reflect your values and areas where you desire healing or growth. We explore your story, identify what's weighing you down, and clarify what realignment looks like for you—whether that's increased self-worth, better coping skills, or deeper spiritual connection.
Please note that my practice is virtual. There are no in-person appointments available. Even after many years of work in the field, I remain amazed and reassured by the resilience and determination of people to make the changes they wish to make and begin to live the lives they genuinely desire. It takes strength and hope to reach out to someone for help with a difficulty. I honor that strength by providing a setting that nurtures those assets while simultaneously supporting the desire to change. Because change is sometimes difficult, I provide a setting that helps individuals explore desired outcomes and build new skills in a safe and confidential environment. I genuinely enjoy witnessing the growth that occurs through psychotherapy and understand that changes often continue to occur long after therapy concludes. The change and growth that transpire are testament to the power of interpersonal relationships. Whether that relationship is therapist-patient, partners or spouses, parent-child, etc., we grow and thrive when our relationships are healthy, including our relationship with our self. With this in mind, my understanding of how people change and grow is rooted in systems and interpersonal process theories. Additionally, I appreciate that difficulties are often multifaceted, having social, psychological, and biological contributing factors. My work springs from this understanding and experience and incorporates behavioral, cognitive, and dynamic interventions as appropriate.

I am a Physician Assistant experienced in working in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I diagnose and help patients to manage conditions including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, sleep issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and much more. Through medication management, I aspire to help my patients manage their conditions as best as possible by using the least amount of medication in order to manage their symptoms. I also am familiar with over-the-counter / naturopathic approaches to mental health and how using these vitamins as adjuncts to medication can often work synergistically with psychiatric meds. I know that medications aren’t always the only method to improve your mental health, so oftentimes I refer my patients to counseling and therapy too. Originally from the state of FL, I graduated from then University of FL with my bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies before earning my PA degree from the University of South Alabama in 2020. I was recently awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry by the NCCPA.
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I bring empathy, an easygoing communication style, and a sweet sense of humor, making it easy to communicate with my patients and family members. Having worked both in crisis management centers, drug Rehabs, Adult psych hospitals and children’s psych hospitals, I decided to go back to school for my Master’s in Nursing 4 years ago to expand my knowledge and use my wealth of experience in good use. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my goal is to educate and empower patients and family members.
