I have provided individual, group, couples and family therapy in both school settings as well as private practice settings for close to 25 years . I utilize behavioral management tools, cognitive behavioral therapy, and creative therapies to encourage development of self, learn how to celebrate strengths and weaknesses and help clients feel accountable and more importantly, recognize they have the ability to grow. I also have a strong background in parent coaching, fertility counseling with particular focus on single moms by choice and support and aiding clients in working through life transitions. I have been working with children, adolescents , and adults for over 25 years and I have provided supervision to social workers for 10 years. My philosophy for all my clients young or old is that we must feel uncomfortable in order to truly grow. College is an especially special time that can be filled with significant changes and challenges. This can be an important time to recognize you are not an extension of your parents and figure out who you are on your own. I am currently available for supervision to Licensed Social Workers . I also have availabity for individual, couples and family therapy as well as parent coaching.

We are born into mystery and we are on a spiritual quest to know ourselves more fully, to discover our life's purpose and to find our personal power. My therapeutic approach involves accompanying my clients on a journey of self-discovery and self-mastery. For, as Carlos Castaneda wrote, "We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong...the amount of work is the same." Ultimately, my goal is to be a mirror that reflects back to you your own innate goodness, strength and wisdom. We repeat what we don't repair. So, my job is to be a witness to your process of awakening the healer that's already present within you. My therapeutic approach draws from psychodynamic theory, client-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also use meditation, aromatherapy and creative visualization as therapeutic tools. My areas of expertise are treating depression, anxiety, grief and loss and trauma (PTSD). In addition to adult clients, I also see adolescents and families in my practice. I believe that therapy is a sacred relationship and a meeting of two souls. In short, it is an invitation to explore and to discover the depths of our own being through the mirror of relationship. If my therapeutic approach sounds like a good fit for you, then please contact me by phone or email to schedule an appointment. Are you ready?
I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and prior to working in private practice, I worked almost exclusively in university counseling centers for several years. The centerpiece of my work is building a therapeutic relationship in which you can explore and better understand yourself without fear of judgment, essentially "rewiring" your brain so that confidence and self-acceptance come to feel more like second nature to you. In the meantime, we can also build skills to better cope with anxiety, depression, and other symptoms. *TELEHEALTH ONLY* My practice is a safe place for all women and their unique beliefs. Are you exhausted? I'm here to help women who are struggling with life's inevitable ups and downs. Are you navigating modern motherhood, and work-life "balance" (is there EVER really complete balance)? Does making friends feel like a chore? Maybe it's ADHD, anxiety, or postpartum? Is perimenopause knocking at the door? Let's figure it out together. I am kind, but direct in my approach. Please understand that I no longer conduct phone consultations. I believe that the best way to truly decide if we are a good fit working together, is to meet and go from there. My approach to working with clients is that the client is always the expert on their own lives. I see clients from a strengths-based perspective, and help my clients recognize and use those strengths fully. I take an integrative approach to meet your needs. I am a psychodynamic therapist, but I make use of polyvagal theory and mindfulness as well. I know it can be overwhelming to reach out for help when you need it the most. It takes bravery to take this next step. Be proud of yourself for being here right now. I typically respond within two business days. Check your spam folder to be sure you didn't miss it. Please note that I ONLY work with WOMEN in my practice and ONLY via telehealth at this time.

I will hold a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space for your unique life experiences, true authentic self, and help guide you through life in a way that feels most comfortable
