You may appear to have everything together while quietly carrying stress, anxiety, burnout, academic pressure, or the weight of trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. College can feel overwhelming, isolating, and exhausting at times, especially when you are balancing school, relationships, work, and your own well-being. I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where college students and young adults can feel heard, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and balance. As an LCSW, I take a client-centered and collaborative approach focused on empowerment, self-understanding, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Jennifer Scott
I assist individuals dealing with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss, and grief. Additionally, I understand the potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness to create great insight and healing, and offer assistance in psychedelic integration.
Compassionate Therapy Psychology & Wellness, Inc.
The idea of therapy can be overwhelming for many. People sometimes associate therapy with a sense of inadequacy or inability to handle their own problems. They often do not recognize the act of seeking self-improvement as courageous, which, of course, it is. In my work with individuals, I create a safe space where they are able to heal, grow, and flourish. With compassion and empathy, I guide each person through the process of understanding the root of their problems so they may discover a greater depth of personal insight and self-awareness. Through that process, I find great satisfaction in witnessing each person heal their emotional wounds and develop self-love and self-compassion as they begin living a more fulfilling existence with inner peace and enriched relationships.

Feelings and Rainbows
Warmest welcome! My name is Jacky Tse and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker. I hold Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Multi-disciplinary Gender Studies from University of Cambridge and Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, San Bernardino. I have more than 7 years of social service experience as educator and social worker, closely working with diverse populations including people with developmental disabilities, AAPI populations, LGBTQIA individuals, families in crisis, youths and children. My therapeutic interests include perfectionism, substance use disorder, anxiety and stress management. Having therapy with me is like embarking on an exciting adventure together. We may encounter different twists and turns, ups and downs, or highs and lows, but I will be your guide in this adventure of life. I specialize in utilizing person-centered therapy by exploring your strengths, exercising empathy and motivating for self-actualization. My practice is also LGBTQIA+ affirming through an intersectional lens, and I can conduct sessions in Cantonese and Mandarin. In my free time, I enjoy singing karaoke, spending time in nature, trying out new restaurants, watching reality TV shows and playing Pokemon.

Do you worry about being judged by others? Have you opened up to someone, only have your feelings minimized or dismissed entirely? You may have even started holding back parts of yourself in order to feel accepted. If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone. As someone with both professional and lived experience, I understand how important it is to feel like someone truly gets you. Together we’ll explore triggers for anxiety and depression and create strategies that will help you improve your overall quality of life.

People, life, and school are complex. It can be hard to figure out who you want to become while facing academic, family, or work pressure. As a recovering overachiever, I know how scary and foreign the world can be for a young adult just trying to become their own person. My role as a therapist is to provide you space (physical and emotional) to explore what you want for yourself and your life on your own terms. My approach emphasizes personal introspection, insight, and self-compassion in order to identify harmful thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we will find an approach that helps you heal from past experiences or cope with present challenges. I love working with young adults and being part of the lives they choose to pursue and the people they choose to become. This is your time to shine, so leave behind other people’s expectations, and step onto your own path. You’ve got this. Visit my website or give me a call to set up a free consultation; I would love to hear what’s happening for you.

No one has a perfect childhood. Early stressors, abuse, and neglect can continue to have profound effects on all of us and can manifest as depression, anxiety, anger, and low-self esteem. As we continue through life, enduring pain and distress, we often learn to suppress our emotions and neglect our needs in order to get by. In therapy I will provide you a safe, supportive space that belongs to you, in which you may share as much as you are willing and at a pace that you are comfortable with. While working together, I aim to help you undo old ways of being and to help you begin fostering a more compassionate relationship with yourself. As a therapist, I believe that I am a facilitator in your journey of change. My passion is helping clients rediscover their true selves and leading more authentic, genuine lives.

Rina Schul
I have provided therapy to many undergraduate and graduate students at UC San Diego for over 17 years. I have helped people struggling with a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, academic and relationship concerns, trauma, and concerns related to identity (e.g., racial / sexual / gender). In addition, I have worked particularly closely with international students / foreigners, and LGBTQ+ folks. My approach to therapy is warm and supportive, as well as practical. I care about social justice issues and find that these are often relevant to the distress that people experience. In therapy, we will explore the roots of your distress and work on tools and coping strategies to help you overcome the challenges you face. I do this work in individual therapy and in couples therapy. I look forward to meeting with you. I know you want to feel better soon, and I am ready to help you with that! Looking for a therapist can feel frightening and overwhelming. This is especially true if you are one of those individuals who have it all put together, yet often worry about what others may think. Do you struggle with feelings of loneliness, fear, guilt, shame, anger, difficulties trusting others and difficulties feeling joy. Therapy is a transformational process and I certainly understand being anxious or even fearful of change. Through my personal experience in psychotherapy and work with clients, I have witnessed the healing and change the therapeutic process offers. My approach is warm and welcoming. I strive to establish a peaceful and safe environment. I truly believe beauty and healing are often a result of allowing light shine to our darkest places. With the right space and support, you can achieve the things you want to achieve as well as heal from past hurts. I hold the same belief when completing psychological evaluations for Immigration. I also offer the opportunity of telehealth- video conference sessions in order to expand my ability to offer safe therapeutic support. Looking forward to hearing from you and being part of your journey
