Cynthia Jordan, LMFT
Hello. My name is Cindy. I am passionate about helping students improve their mental health. As a fellow UO duck I personally understand the compounding social, academic, financial, and relationship challenges that occur while attending college. I have worked with students for over 20 years. I have supported students experiencing generalized and academic anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, depression, chronic and acute medical conditions, life adjustments, roommate conflict, stress and time management difficulties, grief and loss, and trauma. I have experience working with students who have experienced sudden grief and loss, traumatic break-ups, and psychological, physical, and sexual abuse.
I am committed to supporting individuals heal from their traumatic experiences and allowing their vulnerable selves to feel seen. I have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ students who are experiencing discrimination, marginalization, dismissal, and systemic micro and macro aggressions.
I have completed trainings and hold certifications in EMDR, ACT, DBT, CBT, and Mindfulness.
Therapy is a courageous act that requires vulnerability, authenticity, and an openness to self-discovery. I will work to help you identify patterns that are keeping you stuck, stagnant, and from reaching your full potential. If you are ready to begin this process I look forward to connecting with you.
