Alex Cooke
One of our greatest challenges in life is reaching out for support when we need help. Life may throw us for a loop or weigh us down, and therapy is a space to learn how to cope, plan, and prepare for those moments. We all are worthy of a secure, confidential space to heal.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with expertise in anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma and burnout. My understanding of cultural and systemic influence on our lives allows me to support those who have challenging life stressors or changes, relationship difficulties, boundaries issues, and struggle with effectively communicating needs.
As a therapist, I believe in utilizing a person-centered approach to develop and maintain a collaborative, safe environment to support you in becoming your best self. During sessions, I will utilize a variety of modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness to ensure that everyone receives the most well-rounded and holistic care possible.
While seeking support can be hard, know that you are not alone. I am excited to be here to support you in this journey, and I will celebrate with you along the way. Please feel free reach out with any questions, or to schedule a time to meet.
